I've scribbled and scratched away at one surface or another ever since I realised I could do more with a crayon than chew it to a satisfying gooey pulp. Early affairs from childhood with the folklore and myths of Europe and the British Isles, comics, picture books, the classic Victorian illustrators and the 'Western Mystery Tradition', created a love for visual narrative and illustration in general Illustrator, writer and sign-writer, my work has appeared in The Guardian, Squall Magazine, Cornwall Today, 'Enhancing Your Mind, Body & Spirit,' and commissions for campaigning organisations The Land is Ours and Greenpeace. I'm also the author and illustrator of the children's book "Once Upon A Winter's Turning" in the Wooden Books series. Of late I've supplied artistic support as a project worker to NCH Cornwall Children's Fund, Cornwall County Council and other education/welfare services in Cornwall, providing arts based self-esteem and skills-building projects to children, young people and their families around the county. Having lived as a traveller and hedge-monkey for many years, I now live at home with myself, a slate roof, mains electric and no cats. I sometimes gets quite animated... |
